The Madison County Detention Center is a correctional facility with an average daily population of over 500 county, federal and state inmates. Our Detention Center also provides alternatives to incarceration such has home incarceration and Work Release, as well as traditional incarcerations and imprisonment for offenders either awaiting trial or sentenced to the Madison County Detention Center. The 24 hour facility is staffed to secure the facility while also ensuring the supervision, medical care, visitation, transportation, feeding, and other duties related to the inmates.
We offer many rehabilitation opportunities. The Jailer and his staff are responsible for managing every side of the operation which include maintenance and repairs to our facilities. The Madison County Detention Center Staff has many volunteers that make many of the religious and rehabilitation programs possible for our inmates. We are always grateful for the dedication and support of our volunteers who work tirelessly to help inmates recover or find a new path.
