Requirements to Apply

To be considered for a position with the Madison County Fire Department, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older

• Valid driver’s license

• Pass a county physical

• Current CPAT card or qualify for lateral entry

Competitive Salary and Benefits

• Starting Salary: $41,370 (after completion of Fire Academy), which includes the Kentucky Fire Incentive of $4,300.

• KPPA Hazardous Duty Retirement

• Paid Time Off: Vacation, Sick, Holiday, & Personal Time (Personal time is awarded based on longevity and begins after five years of service)
