2024 Hay Bale Decorating Contest
Looking for a creative way to get into the fall spirit? The 4-H Hay Bale Decorating Contest is the perfect opportunity for businesses, farms, and individuals to showcase their artistic talents. Whether you prefer square or round hay bales, this is your chance to join the fun and bring some festive flair to Madison County. Here’s how you can participate:

How to Participate:
- Complete the entry form
Submit your address and choose your category by filling out the survey form before October 11th. You can find the form here. - Pick up a 4-H Yard Sign
Visit the extension office to grab a 4-H yard sign to place in or around your display. - Set up your display
Be sure to have your hay bale decoration ready by October 17th for judging! - Keep your display up through October 31st
Your decorated hay bale will be part of a county-wide map, allowing families to take a scenic drive and enjoy all the creative entries. - Return the yard sign
After the contest ends, please return your yard sign to the extension office.
Recognition for Winners
Winners will be announced and recognized at the 4-H banquet, so be sure to make your display stand out!
